Not 20/20
As most of you know, eyeglasses correct your eyesight to 20/20 (in most cases). Did you know that hearing aids do not have the ability to perfect your hearing?

On being deaf
Being born profoundly hearing impaired, I was educated in the oral method rather than being taught sign language as my method of communication. I use "deaf" with a small "d" to not be confused with Deaf as is commonly associated with Deaf Culture. My blog will focus on the life I know - being deaf in a hearing world using the spoken (oral) language.
